After a first-half battle against conference rivals Stephen F. Austin, the Southeastern Lions managed to pull away from the Lumberjacks for a 66-56 victory. Patrick Sullivan contributed 20 points and nine rebounds to the Lions’ win, while Brandon Fortenberry added 12 points and Gary Dixon, 10. The win was Southeastern’s first over the Lumberjacks in four years, and pushed the Lions to a 12-1 record at home this season.

Senior center Patrick Sullivan led Southeastern to a 75-66 victory over Texas State Wednesday night, scoring a game-high 23 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. The Lions trailed by 12 points in the first half but managed to come together in the second, with Sullivan blocking eight of Texas State’s shots, a career-high for the Orlando, Fla. native, along with sophomore guard DeShawn Patterson adding a career-high 21 points to the board.

Thousands of men sporting dresses and makeup marched through the New Orleans French Quarter on Sunday, chanting “Who Dat?” and carrying signs that read “We made it!” The parade, which began at the Superdome and culminated at Bourbon Street and Conti, was in honor of the late Buddy Diliberto, a legendary New Orleans sportscaster. The Southeastern Lions pulled out a Southland Conference win during a battle with Central Arkansas, which ended 60-53. Sophomore guard DeShawn Patterson brought down 17 points while senior center Patrick Sullivan added another 10, bringing an end to the Lions’ three-game losing streak.

The Southeastern Lady Lions fell to Stephen F. Austin, 75-61, on Saturday in the University Center. The Lady Lions fought a tough battle, tying up the score at 39 with just over 16 minutes remaining, but SFA quickly regained a 10-point lead and Southeastern never managed to catch up.
