The Big Easy Rollergirls showed the gals of Pearl River Roller Derby how it’s done in New Orleans when the Crescent Wenches skated their way to a win over the Swamp Dolls. It was a one-bout night, as the Big Easy All-Stars didn’t follow the Wenches like usual, but the evening was still action-packed and ended with an exciting win, 141-118. For shooting, I stuck to the basic setup, which worked well: 70-200mm f/2.8 on the 7D and 24-70mm f/2.8 on the 50D, flashes on both. I’m really starting to enjoy shooting sports with a flash. It’s going to be bummer when football season rolls around again and I have to put them away. (more…)
